Deprecation of Classic CSP for Microsoft Azure - Partner and Channel Customer Update

Microsoft announced that they would discontinue support for Classic CSP for Commercial Cloud. However, the deprecation has been delayed. We are working with Microsoft to understand their intentions and updated timeline.

When implemented, this deprecation will impact CloudHealth’s ability to reach a channel customer’s Azure reservations. The CloudHealth team is actively working to migrate to the new API. We are notifying all Partners who use Azure of this impact, and we will work to keep them apprised of developments.

Manual Control of Historical Bill Processing for AWS

In February, CloudHealth will stop processing historical bills for AWS that are older than 40 days. There are times that AWS provides updates to bills for closed periods. CloudHealth will continue to collect these bills, and allow the customer to determine which months should be reprocessed. On the AWS Accounts Page, Customers will see a banner prompting them to update their IAM policy to give CloudHealth access to read the Cost Explorer API. After providing these permissions, customers will be able to see which historical periods have updated bills, and the cost difference between the existing processed bill and the new one we have collected. Customers will then be able to select which historical periods they would like CloudHealth to update.

Note, these Cost Explorer permissions are optional. If a customer does not provide these permissions, they can still re-process old bills. However, CloudHealth will not be able to determine if there is a difference in Costs. It is important to note that reprocessing a bill is irreversible and can not be undone. A customer can reprocess only once per month for each billing account/time period combination.
