We’re happy to inform you that we have completed our efforts to support Size Flexible RDS Reserved Instances. This includes updates in the following reports:
Cost History
RDS Cost/Usage
RDS Instance Hours
RDS RI Utilization
RDS RI Amortization
RDS Optimizer
For customers with RDS Size Flexible Reservations (and have enabled the Cost and Usage Report), they are now accurately accounted for in all of the above reports and tools. If you have questions about how Size Flexibility works, please see this article in our Help Center.
If you do not have the Cost and Usage Report enabled, or have less than 30 days of history, you will be directed to the old version of the report that is not Size Flexible aware and you will see a warning indicating this. Please work with your CloudHealth administrator to set up the Cost and Usage Report ASAP to correct this.
Please note that RDS RI Amortization is not included in today’s release, but we expect to have support for size flexibility in the RDS RI Amortization Report in the near future.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your TAM or support@cloudhealthtech.com.
We’re pleased to announce the general availability of Cost Reallocation Rules for Azure. Cost reallocation allows you to reassign indirect costs from your detailed billing records to direct charges or groups within your Perspectives. This is accomplished by assigning rules to specify what charges are distributed where. Our Azure Cost Reallocation Rules allow costs to be reallocated across Accounts/Subscriptions and/or Regions. Learn more about CloudHealth cost reallocation in this Help Center article.
