We are excited to announce the general availability of our Green Operations (GreenOps) multi-cloud dashboard and carbon emissions reporting. GreenOps capabilities ensure that all users have the ability to understand their carbon emissions and align efforts towards green initiatives.
Tanzu CloudHealth’s GreenOps dashboard provides visibility into your multi-cloud carbon emissions with charts that provide side-by-side views of your compute instance usage and the associated carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) it generates. The dashboard helps you relate the CO2e metric with other visual equivalencies. The carbon emission data in the dashboard is calculated using regional carbon emission data and power usage by an instance.
The granular, low-latency Operational Emissions information is also provided as a FlexReports dataset, detailing the power consumption and carbon emissions of your infrastructure usage with daily per-instance metrics and location-based carbon intensity information. It is mapped to FOCUS standards and is supported in Perspectives.
GreenOps capabilities are currently supported for AWS EC2 & Azure VM (EA & MCA billing types) instances, and support for other services & clouds are in the roadmap. In the platform, the GreenOps dashboard can be found in the left-hand navigation under the Multicloud section. Operational Emissions FlexReports can be created utilizing the “Multi-cloud operational emissions” datasource.

Rightsizing capabilities in Tanzu CloudHealth have made incremental steps to provide you with an array of services and available recommendations. As we continue building these services & enhancing the recommendations, our new rightsizing capabilities have been moved directly under the Recommendations section in the left-hand navigation as “Rightsizing” for better easier access. Previous rightsizing capabilities are still available under the “Rightsizing (Old)” drop down.
