We recently added the ability to create EBS Snapshots from within the CloudHealth platform! This new action is available in Policies and in the Volumes Asset Report. This allows you to safely backup your data before deleting volumes without incurring the cost of unattached volumes.
Note: If you plan on using the action automatically (i.e., CloudHealth will execute the action on your behalf, without an IAM user authenticating it) you must update your IAM policy via the account setup page.

We recently added indirect cost categorization and aggregate cost policies for the following asset types:
AWS Elemental MediaLive
AWS Elemental MediaPackage
AWS Elemental MediaStore
Costs for these services are represented as their own indirect cost, which can be assigned to Perspective Groups using cost reallocation rules. Previously, these costs were included under Indirect Costs - Other.
Azure Credits will now appear as an indirect cost in the CloudHealth Platform for customers with Enterprise Agreements. Credits were previously not accounted for, therefore you may see a decrease in your total cost. Credits are available for January, and we will be backfilling the past 13 months. You are now able to assign Azure Credits in cost reallocation rules.

As part of forward looking research, we'd like to learn about your current (and future) set of observability tools. These tools could be pure network monitoring tools (NetScout, VPC FlowLogs, Nagios), application monitoring tools (DynaTrace, NewRelic, AppOptics, AppDynamics etc.), more specialized tools (OpenTracing/Jaeger, Zipkin, SysDig, WeaveWorks, istio/envoy), or maybe just roll your own using ip-tables, netflow/ipfix and native tooling.
If you'd like to help us in our research, please contact research@cloudhealthtech.com, we'd love to take a few minutes to understand your toolset and selections.
