Kubernetes Overview Report - General Availability

We are pleased to announce the General Availability of the CloudHealth Kubernetes Overview Report. Kubernetes cost and usage visibility is critical for organizations when allocating costs for chargeback or showback reporting, or identifying cost or usage spikes in your environment. To that end, we have brought together key reports in the platform to a central location: the Kubernetes Overview Report. As a reminder, CloudHealth supports Kubernetes collection of resource data independent of cloud, and supports containers-based cost distribution for AWS billing data and Azure billing data.

GCP BigQuery Line Item - Private Beta

We are pleased to announce we’ve entered private beta for a feature that allows you to create more granular Perspectives in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will now be able to allocate costs to Perspective Groups based on labels that have been added at the resource level. In addition to allocating costs based on the resource label, for PaaS services like Dataproc and GKE, you’ll also be able to allocate costs based on SKUs to Perspective Groups for granular cost chargeback. For more information on this feature, please visit the Help Center article.

To use this feature, you will need to configure the BigQuery billing export. If you have not done that yet, please view this Help Center article. If you’re interested in participating in this private beta, please email bigquery-line-item-beta@groups.vmware.com to get started.

Non-USD Support in GCP

We have released support for non-USD currency in GCP. If your bill from GCP comes in a currency other than USD, we will now use that currency in all reports. We will also convert the costs to USD on the multi-cloud report for a consistent view across all clouds.

Update to FlexReports - Default Templates

If you are just beginning to explore FlexReports capabilities or investigating advanced use cases, then ‘Default Templates’ will help you with the out-of-the-box content including measures, dimensions, and filters that are pre-selected to address specific use-cases. You can review all the templates for both AWS CUR and Azure EA datasets from ‘View Templates.’ Also, in the ‘Create New Report’ workflow, you can ‘Choose Template’ instead of creating a report from scratch. Learn more about FlexReports Default Templates in this Help Center Article.

In-Context FAQs in the Help Center

In addition to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that are available from the Help Center left-side navigation, there are now additional FAQs at the end of each Help Center section. If you don’t find what you’re looking for in a Help Center article, try checking the frequently asked questions to see if your question is addressed.
