Update to Cost Reallocation Rules

We introduced a new option for cost reallocation rules that allows you to scope indirect cost distribution to a specific Perspective, available for any cloud in the platform. This is useful when an indirect cost needs to be spread proportionally across multiple groups, but the rule is not needed for all Perspectives.

Update to Costs for AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)

We have updated the costs for AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and added an inventory report for DMS: Replication Instances. Previously, these charges were categorized as an indirect cost. Going forward, costs associated with DMS: Replication Instances will be distributed as follows:

Direct charges:

  • DMS - Replication Instance Compute

  • DMS - Replication Instance GP2 Storage

Indirect charges:

  • DMS - Replication Instance Data In

  • DMS - Replication Instance Data Out

  • DMS - Other

We recommend that you update your reallocation rules for any AWS DMS indirect charges.

Support for Additional AWS Services

We recently added support for the following AWS services:

  • AWS IoT Analytics

  • AWS AppSync

Costs for these services are represented as their own indirect cost, which can be assigned to Perspective Groups using cost reallocation rules. Previously, these costs were included under Indirect Costs - Other.

Support for Additional GCP Services

We recently added additional support for the following GCP services:

  • Compute Engine services: GPU, Committed Usage Discounts, Cores and Rams, Custom Machines 

  • VM Custom Machines 

  • Datastore options 

  • Support options 

  • Cloud SQL services 

  • Cloud storage services

  • BigQuery services

Costs for these services are represented as their own indirect cost, which can be assigned to Perspective Groups using cost reallocation rules. Previously, these costs were included under Indirect Costs - Other.

Add Custom Text to PDF Statements

We’ve added the capability for partners to add a custom block of text to PDF statements for any of their customers. The space can be used to include additional payment instructions, details of charges, or other notes on the statement.

You can find this feature when editing customer details from Partners -> Customers -> List. The block of text will be inserted into the PDF statement during the next bill generation cycle.
