Exclude Filtering in Interactive Reporting

CloudHealth Interactive Reporting now supports exclude filtering. Historically our filtering capabilities operated as include filters, meaning you had to specify the categories you wanted to include in a report. With this new enhancement, we now allow you to specify the categories you want to exclude in the report. You have the option to include or exclude for any available category (except for Time) in Interactive Reporting.

This new feature completely removes the administrative burden of updating your reports when new values are added to your categories. Now, updates can happen automatically after the initial report configuration. As an example, let’s say you want to filter by service item category. Instead of including all except `Tax`, you can now exclude `Tax`. The benefit of making this change is that all new service items (aside from `Tax`) will be included automatically. See this example in action here

Changes to Reservation Apportioning in AWS Partner Billing - Coming Soon

We will be releasing support for apportioning for all reservable services through partner billing in the coming weeks! Like with Savings Plans and EC2 Reserved Instances, you will now see those costs show up in the Cost History Report throughout the month, instead of just on the start date when looking at the daily interval.

Update to Azure CIS Default Policy - Coming Soon

We are in the process of making the final changes to the CIS Default Policy to align with the 1.3 release! Within the next two weeks, we will be removing all policy blocks from the previous release that are not included in 1.3. The following policy blocks will be removed:

'Storage Account Blob Service Encryption',  'SQL Server Auditing Retention Days',  'SQL Database Auditing Retention Days',  'Subscription Network Security Groups',  'Subscription Disk Encryption',  'Subscription System Updates is On',  'Storage Account File Service Encryption',  'Data Disk Encrypted',  'Subscription SQL Encryption is On',  'Subscription Endpoint Protection is On',  'Subscription Storage Encryption is On',  'JIT Network Access is On',  'Web Application Firewall is On',  'Subscription Next Generation Firewall is On',  'Vulnerability Assessment is On',  'Virtual Machine Agent Installed',  'OS Disk Encrypted',  'SQL Database Threat Detection State',  'Subscription SQL Auditing is On',  'SQL Database Auditing is On'

Updates to ECS on EC2 Reporting - Coming Soon

We are planning to release significant improvements to the scale and performance of our ECS on EC2 reporting that many of you use to both distribute and understand how ECS tasks drive EC2 costs in your organizations. With this update, you should expect:

  • Faster load times for ECS Resources and Allocation Reports.

  • Extended data timeline (13 months) for ECS Resources and Allocation Reports, and Containers Cost Distribution in the Containers Cost History Report for ECS on EC2 environments.

  • Updated configuration and terminology of usage reports: Task Family and Task are no longer configurable reporting buckets but instead will take on their inherent meaning. Registered CPU and Memory resources, also used by containers cost distribution, will no longer be labeled “Used CPU” and “Used Memory” but rather “Registered CPU” and “Registered Memory.” Note: These changes mean saved bookmarks, saved reports, and subscriptions may need to be updated for ECS Resources and ECS Allocation Reports.

  • Improvements to data aggregation.

We plan to roll out these improvements in the coming weeks, stay tuned for more updates.
