We are happy to announce the general availability of GCP detailed data export support in FlexReports. This feature will provide GCP customers with granular resource-level cost data for supported services. This will keep on enhancing further every time GCP adds more resources to the detailed export support.
Services available currently from GCP for resource level detail supported by VMware Aria Cost include:
Compute Engine
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Cloud Functions
Cloud Run
Cloud SQL
Cloud Spanner
App Engine
Firestore and Datastore
For more information, please review the documentation.

We are announcing the general availability Perspective support for GCP data in FlexReports, enhancing usability for our customers using Perspectives to help manage GCP resources. Perspectives created with assets will now have detailed export support from GCP, and existing Perspectives created using CARLL (Cost Allocation by Resource Level Label) will be available as a new dimension in FlexReports.

We are happy to announce the public beta release of BigQuery Cost Report. This will appear at the left navigation panel under the “Cost” section. You can now quickly look at your BigQuery cost across services (like different storage, analysis, various related APIs), accounts, locations, coverage type etc., generated by FlexReports. This helps the users access the dedicated pre-build report and then enhances that further as per specific business need.

We are excited to share a bulk action to “Reassign” accounts between FlexOrgs! Previously, admins had to ‘Remove’ accounts up the hierarchy and ‘Assign accounts’ to the new location – you can now do this in one action. After reassigning accounts, you can jump via hyperlink to the new location to double-check all accounts moved as expected. This is available via both GraphQL API and the UI.

We have added the following new features to FlexReports:
High-definition charts – We have now enabled high-definition charts in FlexReports that allows clear images after download.

Subscribing to FlexReports: Chart option – If the chart type is enabled while creating a FlexReport, when the user subscribes to the FlexReport, it will show the chart type in the subscription mail.

AWS support for the new region, us-west-2, is now supported in the account configuration process. This region is utilized to validate the read-only IAM Access policy for the account, ensuring test access. Customers can choose us-west-2 as the supported region by overriding the current configuration under the Primary AWS Region setting.

This new system-created role document will surface Kubernetes cluster costs in VMware Tanzu Mission Control and VMware Aria Hub. To take advantage of this release, you must have an entitlement to VMware Aria Cost + VMware Aria Hub + Tanzu Mission Control.
