We are pleased to announce the general availability of our new Amazon DynamoDB Rightsizing feature. DynamoDB is a fully managed, serverless, key-value NoSQL database designed to run high-performance applications at any scale. Our new DynamoDB rightsizing feature generates recommendations to correctly provision your tables’ read and write capacities based on your current usage characteristics. It also recommends moving to provisioned tables from on-demand tables if appropriate. Complete with a new user interface, this feature delivers:
Cost and savings summaries
Customizable efficiency targets based on RCU and WCU
Details page with additional information to help validate recommendations
Since the public beta, we have added the ability to group recommendations by account or Perspective groups, the ability to export recommendations as a CSV, and we have added RCU and WCU metric utilization charts to the details page.
Data from our rightsizing engine is available via GraphQL API that enables you to programmatically set efficiency targets and consume recommendations. Learn more about DynamoDB Rightsizing in our Documentation.

We are excited to announce a GreenOps Private Beta which includes a multi-cloud Operational Emissions Report and a multi-cloud GreenOps Dashboard.
If you wish to join this private beta, please reach out to your Technical Account Manager to determine eligibility.
Operational Emissions Report This FlexReport dataset surfaces Power Consumption and Carbon Emissions data for virtual machine resources for both AWS and Azure. Highlights of this dataset include granular daily, per-instance metrics, daily location-based carbon intensity, multi-cloud mappings to the FOCUS 0.5 standard, and support for Perspectives.

GreenOps Dashboard Launched from the multi-cloud menu, the new GreenOps Overview Dashboard will provide a convenient overview of your Operational Emissions based on your organization’s virtual machine usage. Additionally, you can see a high-level insight into your Carbon and Power usage with corresponding visualizations.

New Webhook Policy Action We have released webhook support in our policy engine! Now available as a policy action, you can configure Tanzu CloudHealth to push alert data to a webhook endpoint. With this feature, you can integrate the policy engine into your business systems and put Tanzu CloudHealth data in the path of the engineer.
Some potential use cases are integrating with PagerDuty to alert on high impact cost anomalies, ServiceNow to put optimization recommendations in the hands of the resource owner, or Microsoft Teams to get maximum visibility of configuration drift in Tanzu CloudHealth. You can view an example configuration and more details in our documentation.

New Perspective Group Limit Policy We have released a policy to help you manage your Perspectives. You can now be alerted as you approach or hit your Perspective group limit. As a reminder, if you hit your group limit, please first try and merge groups and reduce the group count. If you have already done this and cannot reduce the count further, please reach out to your Technical Account Manager or open a support ticket.

Update to for Metric Policies Alerts We have made an improvement for all metric policies to now include the evaluation window in the policy alert. Shown below, for each condition within a policy, we will show the start and end time of the evaluation window.

For those utilizing Classic Organizations (as opposed to FlexOrgs), you can now see the same permissions in Classic Roles that are displayed in FlexOrg Role Documents. For a full list of the now visible permissions, please reach out to your Technical Account Manager.
When viewing your accounts in FlexOrgs , you can now see the lowest level of the hierarchy to which each account is assigned in a new column called ‘Assigned Organizations. ’ This new column links to the organization within the FlexOrgs tree view, so that you can easily spot - check that accounts live where intended in the hierarchy.

Today we are announcing two updates to FlexReports including pagination in charts and UX improvements to the FlexReports Query Editor.
New pagination in charts ensures that data displayed on the chart will no longer be truncated, allowing users a full view of the FlexReport data in a paginated format.

We have also implemented a UX improvement to the FlexReports Query Editor, enabling our users to have a human readable format and easier comprehension of the SQL query.

We have two new updates to our Anomaly Detection feature:
We have enabled Perspective support for root cause analysis for Google Cloud Platform. This allows users to filter GCP anomalies by Perspective groups and drill down to the root cause to take remedial action. (Note: In GCP, to view resource details you'll need to have the detailed export configured.)
As seen below, the root cause analysis page now has y - axis representing two dimensions together: Cost & Usage. This provides users with more context to identify root cause.

The EC2 RI Amortization Report, accessible through both the CIO and CFO Dashboards, as well as through view option within the Amortization Report in the Cost Reports section, will be discontinued on October 4, 2023.
As an alternative, you can now utilize the newly introduced template for tracking the Monthly AWS amortized costs of RIs consumed by EC2 service announced below.

We are excited to announce a new FlexReports template for tracking the amortized cost of Amazon EC2 RI s. This report template replaces the soon-to-be-deprecated Amazon EC2 RI Amortization Report (see above).
This new report template provides a comprehensive overview of the monthly AWS amortized costs associated with EC2 service s over the entire duration of the committed purchase.
Amortized costs can be analyzed based on usage, purchase, or number of reservations.
Users also have the flexibility to customize the date range and categorize the data according to specific EC2 attributes, including:
accounts
availability zones
billing accounts
instance types
operating systems
regions
reservation classes
reservation scopes
reservation types
tenancy
