Asset Support for AWS CloudWatch Log Groups and AWS FSx File Systems – Action Required

We will be adding support for the collection of Tags associated with CloudWatch log groups in a future release. This will allow CloudWatch log groups to be treated as a direct cost, and their tags to be summarized in Perspectives. We will also be adding support for FSx file systems, which will have its own asset report, be categorized as a direct cost, and be usable in Perspectives.

In order to prepare for this future release, customers need to update their IAM Policies in AWS with the following permissions:

  • permission: 'logs:ListTagsLogGroup'

  • permission: 'fsx:DescribeFileSystems'

  • permission: 'fsx:ListTagsForResource'

Migration to Cost Management APIs for the Total Cost Pipeline for Azure MCA

We are announcing the migration of the total cost pipeline for Modern Commerce to the Cost Management APIs. Customers will see improved stability and more accurate cost data in the platform. There is no additional configuration required to take advantage of this new pipeline.

Updates to Anomaly Detection User Experience

We are pleased to announce two updates to the user experience in Anomaly Detection. First, we have updated the filter panel so that all filters are now present, allowing the user to select multiple conditions and narrow down the exact service/account/region they want to focus on with multiple combinations of cost impact “value” and “percentage”. For example, users can filter values based on conditions such as “cost impact greater than 80%” AND “cost impact greater than $100”.

Second, the Anomaly Detection main page table depicting complete information on an anomaly is now divided into two parts: fixed & dynamic. The fixed side has columns that are required, while the dynamic side allows for movable columns that give users easier access to view what most interests them.
