We are pleased to announce the general availability of Kubernetes resource usage metrics in our Kubernetes Resources and Kubernetes Allocation reports. These new metrics give you visibility into Kubernetes cluster consumption across different teams, organizations, and lines of business. The metrics show you which Kubernetes clusters are good candidates for optimization, and which teams are setting appropriate resource requests and limits. (With this release, note that CPU/Memory Utilization % measures are being renamed to CPU/Memory Max Utilization %.) For more information, please visit the Container Usage Reports Help Center documentation.

CloudHealth Anomaly Detection has been assisting users identify any sudden increase (positive anomalies) in costs. Today, we are announcing the addition of negative anomalies (sudden decrease in costs), which will enable you to track all unwanted changes in your cloud portfolio. You can select the value as “Decrease” or “All” in the Cost Impact Type filter to view all details related to negative anomalies. The functionality works with policies as well, allowing you to create alerts and notifications as desired.
We are excited to announce we have made significant performance improvements to Perspectives and can now support a greater number of Perspectives in FlexReports. Microsoft has announced that it will be making the Azure EA Portal read-only as of October 10, 2022, for direct customers. Partner customers will still be able to use the EA Portal without interruption. Microsoft will be migrating EA Portal functionality to the Azure Portal. The Azure EA Portal APIs will still be usable until October 10, 2023. By the end of this year, CloudHealth plans to migrate all functionality to the new Cost Management APIs to future-proof our platform for these upcoming changes.
The new Cost Management APIs provide a much more robust experience, including improved data reliability, uptime and performance. CloudHealth is working very closely with Microsoft over the course of this migration in order to provide the best experience possible to our customers.
Customers who have API Access Keys expiring after the October 10, 2022 date will still be able to update and manage their keys from the EA Portal until this functionality is ported to the Azure Portal. This functionality should be available in the Azure Portal in a few weeks. As such, we expect no down time in the collection and processing of Azure data while this migration takes place.
EA Customers who have not yet done so will need to add the EnrollmentReader permission to the Service Principal(s) which integrate with CloudHealth prior to December 31, 2022, in order to avoid any disruption in service.
We are releasing additional architecture support for our Kubernetes Collector Agent by adding support for Kubernetes instances using arm64 processors. This expands our Kubernetes offering to provide visibility into both arm64 and amd64 based clusters. When the Kubernetes collector is deployed on an arm64 instance, it will deploy a compatible image on the node. Please reach out to your Technical Account Manager for more information.
