Partner | New Azure Partner Center Policy Condition

We have added a new policy condition to manage the status of your Azure Partner Centers in CloudHealth. You can use this to catch configuration issues preventing CloudHealth from collecting Azure CSP data.

Anomaly Detection: Negative Anomalies – General Availability

Today, we are announcing the general availability of negative anomalies (sudden decreases in costs) in CloudHealth’s Anomaly Detection feature, which enables you to track all unwanted changes in your cloud portfolio. You can select the value as “Decrease” or “All” in the Cost Impact Type filter to view all details related to negative anomalies. Both positive and negative anomaly detection work with policies, so you can create alerts and notifications. They also work with FlexReports, enabling root cause analysis so you can understand the origin of the anomaly.

FlexReports: Report Query Editor – General Availability

We are pleased to announce the general availability of Report Query Editor in FlexReports. With this enhancement, you can make modifications or write more complex queries using the Query Editor directly. Report Query Editor will also give you an option to "Restore" in case you would like to revert to the original state. You can edit the query and preview results of the modified or enhanced query immediately, emulating the capability of an API client.

New Google Compute Engine (GCE) Usage Report

We are excited to announce the GCE Usage report, a new addition to the platform that will deliver visibility into GCE usage – information that is vital to decision-making for cost optimization. You can view compute engine usage at daily and monthly intervals, with additional detailed breakdowns across various dimensions like projects, billing accounts, regions, coverage types, machine types, and more. This new report covers both "Number of vCPU cores" and "RAM in GB" while also offering information on sustained usage discounts, committed usage discounts, and on-demand cost for those two resources. Like all our reports, the GCE Usage report provides both tabular data and a graphical representation, along with the ability to share and copy.

New Y-Axis on AWS Cost History Report for Specialized Discounts

We have introduced a new Y-axis option called "Cost Without Discounts" on the AWS Cost History report for organizations that have specialized credit agreements with AWS. This option can be used to track services that are receiving discounts throughout the month, and gain visibility into your pre- and post-discount costs. Once enrolled within AWS, this option will automatically become available in CloudHealth. See the AWS documentation regarding “Other Cost Datasets”.

Correction to Container Usage Reports

This update corrects a miscalculation of normalized measures in the hourly granularity of our container Resources and Allocation reports. In the Kubernetes reports, CPU/ Memory Requests, CPU/Memory Limits, and CPU/Memory Available have been corrected. In the ECS reports, Available CPUs/Memory and Registered CPU/Memory have been corrected.

Note about Azure Savings Plans

This week, Microsoft Azure released Azure Savings Plans, a new type of hourly commitment discount for compute resources. We can confirm that the costs reported to you in the platform are and will remain correct as we plan upcoming releases to support this new commitment discount.
