Updates to Kubernetes Cost History Report

Amortization is a critical component of cloud cost allocation, so we have introduced two new measures to the Y-axis of our Kubernetes Cost History Report that enable you to easily view and allocate your effective costs.

AWS Kubernetes Cost History Report: Amortized Cost = Upfront cost normalized monthly 

• Amortized Cost Allocation by Requests 

• Amortized Cost Allocation by Usage 

Azure Kubernetes Cost History Report: Effective Cost = Upfront cost normalized monthly + OnDemand cost 

• Effective Cost Allocation by Requests 

• Effective Cost Allocation by Usage 

With the addition of these new measures, you can amortize Kubernetes costs just as you do with all other costs in your environment.
